At SENAJAIN, protecting your personal data is a priority. This privacy policy explains what data we collect through the senajain.com website, why we process it, who it is shared with and what your rights are. It is drawn up in accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017 of the Republic of Mauritius.

1. Data controller

The data controller is SENAJAIN, a watch and jewellery-and-watchmaking (HBJO) trading company established at 3 Bernardin Street, Port Louis, Republic of Mauritius (BRN C25224332), acting within the meaning of the Data Protection Act 2017.

2. Data we collect

  • Account and identification data: name, company name, e-mail address, password (stored in encrypted form), telephone number, business address, and the information used to verify your reseller status.
  • Order data: selected products, order history and tracking, correspondence relating to your requests.
  • Browsing data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, cookies and technical identifiers.

The store operates on an order-only basis, with no online payment: we do not collect or process any banking data on the site.

3. Purposes and legal bases

  • Manage your reseller account and verify your eligibility — performance of pre-contractual measures and of the contract.
  • Process, prepare and track your orders — performance of the contract.
  • Respond to your requests and manage the business relationship — legitimate interest.
  • Ensure the security, availability and improvement of the site — legitimate interest.
  • Comply with our legal, accounting and tax obligations — legal obligation.
  • Audience measurement and non-essential communications — your consent.

4. Recipients and processors

Your data is intended solely for authorised staff of SENAJAIN. We use technical service providers acting on our behalf, in particular Shopify, which hosts the store and provides the e-commerce infrastructure. These processors only access the data as necessary for their services and are bound by confidentiality. We do not sell or rent your personal data.

5. Transfers outside Mauritius

Some providers, including Shopify, may host or process data outside the Republic of Mauritius. In accordance with the provisions of the Data Protection Act 2017 on transfers abroad, such transfers are only carried out where they are subject to appropriate safeguards (contractual obligations ensuring an adequate level of protection) or where one of the conditions laid down by law is met.

6. Retention period

  • Reseller account: for the duration of the business relationship, followed by intermediate archiving in line with our legal obligations.
  • Order documents and accounting records: in accordance with the legal and tax obligations in force in Mauritius.
  • Prospects without a contractual relationship: deleted or anonymised after a reasonable period of inactivity.
  • Cookies: 13 months maximum.

7. Cookies

The site uses cookies strictly necessary for its operation (session, cart, account login) and, subject to your consent, audience-measurement cookies. You can configure your browser at any time to accept, refuse or delete cookies.

8. Security and data breaches

We implement appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect your data: encrypted connection (HTTPS), access restricted to authorised persons, and passwords stored in encrypted form. In the event of a data breach likely to create a risk to your rights, we notify the Mauritius Data Protection Office within the time frame set by the Data Protection Act 2017, and inform you where required by law.

9. Your rights

In accordance with the Data Protection Act 2017, you have the following rights over your data: access, rectification, erasure, restriction and objection to processing, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.
